Zerioli’s farm is near Ziano Piacentino, a village in Piacenza hills. The business activity dates back to 1890 and the tradition has been handed on from father to son for 4 generations. Among them, it is important to mention Mr. Filippo Zerioli, member of the Italian Vine and Wine Academy, who obtained international renown. For instance he was awarded the title of  “Cavaliere del Lavoro” by the Order of Merit for Labour (an Italian order of chivalry).

Today the farm spreads out for 77 hectares: 62 Ha are specialized vineyards divided in 3 farms: Pozzolo, Montecucco and Poggio.
Our farms are located on Ziano Piacentino hills, in Tidone valley; they are at 280 meters height and have calcareous, clayey, fresh and compact grounds. The vines-growing systems are the simple Cortina and the Cordone Speronato.

The farms create uncontaminated surroundings. Since 2000 they have chosen the secure methods of “Lotta Integrata” L.R. 28/98  in order to respect the ecological system and to protect environment. In this way they don’t kill useful insects and preserve human health. Their wines are not biological, but chemical free.

The wines produced in the winery are the following: Gutturnio Superiore (still wine), Gutturnio Riserva (still wine), sparkling Gutturnio, Cabernet Sauvignon (still wine), Pinot Nero (still wine), sparkling Barbera, sparkling Bonarda and sparkling Bonarda Dolce, sparkling Malvasia and sparkling Malvasia Dolce, sparkling Ortrugo, sparkling Pinot Grigio Rosè, sparkling Sauvignon, Vin Santo Vigna del Duomo and Spumante Brut Metodo Classico.

In order to guarantee the traditional genuiness and typicalness of their wines they pick up grapes in the best moment of maturity, work them directly in the cellar using modern equipments and natural vinification processes. So they maintain the wine characteristics obtaining both young, fresh, scented, sparkling wines and still wines which are more structured and refined in barriques.
