Cantine Casabella was born in a land dedicated for centuries to wine. In the typical products that every day Casabella presents to its customers it is possible to find the strong bond with the territory, Ziano for the production and Castell’Arquato for the processing.

These products come from an old tradition that renews itself every day in a continuous search for quality and excellence. The great work of Cantine Casabella is recognized by numerous national and international awards.

It is important to mention the “Duca di ferro” of “Mont’Arquato” line, which in 2014, after being chosen to represent the hundred years of the cellar with a Special Edition, brought to the House of Castell’Arquato the coveted award “Denominazione d’origine” as “Gutturnio riserva doc Colli Piacentini”, given at Vinitaly.

Production

Cantine Casabella is specialized in the typical oenological products of Piacenza. This is an action that would give prominence to an ancient tradition that has its roots in a story that has been growing over time in the vineyards of Ziano, following the natural processes of the product.

The result is top quality labels, illustrating typical wines of Piacenza, as the Ortrugo, Malvasia, Gutturnio or Bonarda. All the wines are Colli Piacentini CDO, whose quality is certified by the numerous awards received.

Those are the same products of Piacenza tradition that ply the oceans to reach markets all around the world: in particular, Malvasia white wine which comes from an ancient history and is very appreciated abroad. Point of honor also for a local wine in the Valley of Arda: the Monterosso. It is an ancient drink that was appreciated, together with Gutturnio, by Pope Paolo III Farnese.

Cantine Casabella presents this wine in different varieties:  firm, sparkling and “spumantizzata”. Each wine and each bottle represents the link of the cellar with the story and the protagonists of the small medieval town: a way to pay tribute to a generous land, rich and always loved by those who visit it.
